(2) From 1816 through 1860 during the Bourbon restoration. Ferdinand IV of Naples and III Sicily (Italian: Ferdinando) returned to the throne as Ferdinand I of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies after the Napoleonic Wars (18 May 1803 – 20 November 1815).
(3) From 1861 through 1929 after the unification of Italy (Italian: Risorgimento) as the Kingdom of Italy.
Professions other than contadino (peasant) are given. All locations are Pescopagano unless otherwise stated. Question marks and ellipses indicate illegible script. All names were copied as written in the record. More often than not, first names for contadini are in Neapolitan (if such a variation exists) and not Italian (i.e. standard Italian) (Margartita, Luisa versus Margherita, Luigia) and are combined instead of being separated (Giambattista, Giuseppantonio versus Giovanni Battista, Giuseppe Antonio). Titles and honorifics such as signor, signora, don, and donna are also provided if they were written in the record. The records vary in terms of how much information is provided. All records provide the name, age, profession, residence, and parents of both the bride and groom. Some records provide dates of death for deceased parents and former spouses (in the case of widows and widowers). Some even provide the ages of parents. Take for example, the following entry:

This means that Alessio Araneo and Carmosina Graziano were married on 12 November 1829. Alessio was 37. His father, who was dead at the time of the marriage, was Domenico Araneo, and his mother, who was still alive and residing with him, was Olimpia Laurenziello. His previous wife, Rosa Villiano, had died 18 May 1825. Carmosina was 32. Her father, Orazio Graziano, died on 31 August 1827, and her mother, Margarita Quaghlietta, died 28 April 1817. Her previous husband, Giovanni Altera, had died 10 March 1827. The death dates for deceased spouses are important, because they indicate that the previously married bride or groom is eligible to be married again. Also, some records indicate the death dates of parents. For several decades during the Bourbon restoration, the consent of the parents of both parties was noted. In the case of a deceased parent, only the consent of the living parent is noted, while the death date of the deceased parent is documented. In the case of both parents being deceased, consent was given by close family members, whose names were not noted.
